Every indoor pool begins with a vision, but understanding what that vision really costs is where confidence in the process starts. At Origin, we believe in complete clarity from day one. No vague estimates. No hidden extras. Just an honest picture of what’s involved and what you can expect from us in return.
So, what does it cost to bring a luxury indoor pool to life in 2026?
The real cost of an indoor pool
An indoor pool is both an architectural project and a lifestyle investment. It’s about craftsmanship, engineering and the quality of your everyday life, not just square footage and tiles.
Origin offers two pathways to pool ownership:

The Signature Range
Refined, pre-designed models with customisable finishes and fixed pricing for clarity and speed.
With a starting cost of £440,000 (inc VAT), each model is available in three specifications, Classic, Comfort and Custom, so you can choose your perfect balance of design detail, convenience and finish.

Bespoke Pools
For clients who want complete creative freedom and architectural integration, Bespoke projects start from £500,000; however, Origin has undertaken projects ranging up to £2 million. It all depends on size, complexity and material selection.
Whether you choose a streamlined Signature model or a fully Bespoke pool, every Origin project is designed, built and managed in-house, ensuring the same award-winning quality at every level.

What's included
Origin pools are delivered as complete, turnkey buildings. Your investment covers every stage of the journey, from concept to completion:
- Full architectural design and technical drawings
- Structural engineering and building envelope construction
- Luxury indoor pool design, fit-out and finishes
- Mechanical, electrical and environmental systems (humidity control, filtration and lighting)
- Project management and compliance throughout
- Final testing, handover and client training
Every pool is fully finished and ready to enjoy. A sanctuary created for your home and your lifestyle.
Although we manage the full design and build of your pool house, some external elements may fall outside the core project scope, such as external landscaping, planning application fees (if required), utility connections (mains power/water) and decorative additions beyond agreed-upon finishes.
Your Origin consultant will always make these details clear during your design consultation, no surprises, just total transparency.

Where the money goes
Understanding what drives cost helps you understand the value behind it. It's easy to assume that there are only two components required for an indoor pool:
- A swimming pool (a hole in the ground with water)
- A building to cover the pool
However, the reality is far more complex. When introducing a sizeable body of warm water into a confined space, such as a pool chamber, architects and designers face unique challenges that require specialised knowledge and expertise. Unlike typical domestic building projects, indoor swimming pools require careful consideration of three major areas: pool chamber construction and circulation, environmental control systems & building envelope and structures.

Clarity on cost, confidence in quality
A luxury indoor pool is one of the most rewarding investments you can make in your home. But it should come with confidence, not confusion.
With Origin, your proposal outlines every inclusion, every allowance and every option, so you know exactly where your money goes and what to expect from the finished result.
Whether you choose a defined Signature model or a fully Bespoke design, the outcome is the same: uncompromising craftsmanship, lasting performance and peace of mind.

David and Sarah Thompson wanted to move closer to their grandchildren and make swimming part of daily life. After viewing homes with existing pools, they chose a different path: buy the right house with land and commission a purpose-built indoor pool.
Challenge
The preferred site straddled the garden and an adjacent paddock. That required a change of use to residential curtilage, a common planning hurdle. Midway through, the brief also shifted from an approved barn style to a modern, eco-led design that matched the architecture of their new home.
What Origin did
Origin’s architect led the planning case, met officers on site and secured consent. The team reworked designs without drama, kept the clients closely involved and managed a tight access build that drew compliments from neighbours for courtesy and care. More importantly, costs stayed within the guidelines set by Sarah and David.
Result
A calm, contemporary pool house that extends family life and entertaining. In the clients’ words, “For us, it is not just a pool, it is another entertaining space for the whole family. It really is our own oasis.” The project instilled confidence in the process and created a space that feels connected to nature, exactly as the Thompsons imagined.

Luxury made clear
Luxury doesn’t have to be uncertain, it just has to be well-defined. The Signature Range makes it simple: three models, three specifications, and one seamless journey from design to first swim.
